Bethany graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters of Architecture in 2023. Following graduation, she was nominated for the AIA NSW Student Architecture Awards and awarded the Sunlord Perpetual Prize in Architectural Design and Ruskin Rowe Prize for Architecture. During her studies she took a keen interest into the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, her graduating thesis exploring the redevelopment of the Old Bond’s Factory in Camperdown into a Mental Health and Community Centre.
Bethany has professional experience spanning across Architecture, Urbanism, research and teaching, having worked on an array of projects with varying scales and typologies. Prior to joining Hill Thalis she worked for an award winning, sustainably focussed residential studio, contributing to certified Passivhaus residences, from concept design to contract administration.
Bethany has also worked as an Urban Designer at a planning and urban design consultancy, participating on a range of masterplans. Throughout this time, in 2019-2020 she also tutored the subject Thermal Design and Environmental Control within the Bachelor of Design in Architecture at UTS.
Since joining Hill Thalis at the start of 2025, Bethany has been involved on a variety of urban projects, including a senior’s living masterplan, alongside architectural projects such as the redevelopment of an apartment building in Maroubra.
